Your Windows XP starts up slow ? It is fact that Windows XP becomes slow after you use it over time. It seems your computer will take a century to start up. It is really frustrating to sit in front of your computer and wait a long time until a computer boots up. That is really a pain in the neck. How to make XP boot up faster? There are two issues can cause your computer slow startup. The first cause is that there are too many programs and software run at Windows boot. This is a common cause that makes many computers boot up very slow. If you run too many programs and software at computer boot, Windows will have to spend some time loading the data of all the program and software. The more boot-up items, the slower your Windows boots up. In this case, you need to disable some unnecessary startup items. Click Start menu and Run. Enter “msconfig” and press Enter.
