The Eighth World Outgames Held in Germany

Gay Games has no restriction to palyers’ skill level and age, palyers an be professional or immature. Besides that, some projects would be changed due to the consideration to homosexuals, like: figure skating, it allows homosexual players to get on the court together.


On the sand beach in Copenhagen, Chinese player Zandong Li and Malaysian player Sean Lee compete together for the championship of beach volleyball, finally they beat all the competitors and became the champion on beach volleyball in 2009. This was the first time that Chinese gay supporters got together as a group and joint the Games.

On July 31, the eighth World Outgames was opened in Cologne Germany, at the opening ceremony, there were 10 thousand players and 25 thousand audience come to the stadium, included 8 Chinese gay players, Germany vice-premier , also the Foreign Minister, Westville who announced to public that he was gay, attended the opening ceremony.
