What is tankless water heater and does it have future in California

Tankless water heater has been around for a few years, although it is relatively new product in America. It first became popular in Asia and Europe in the 70's, but it has gained huge appeal among consumers of the USA in accordance with the rising cost of gas plus the awareness of environmental protection.

If we compare it with conventional water heaters, which stores hot water in the tank, tankless heater does not hold water. Water is heated only when someone became one tap with water flowing through the various tubes and enters the tankless heater.

The nice thing about them is that they can save much energy. It is believed that the use of tankless water heater can save up to 30% in energy consumption compared to using traditional water heater. Thus it is not surprising that many budget-conscious households tend to use tankless heaters in their homes.
