Cooling Tower Water Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor

by corrosionCSL on Feb 27, 2012

Cooling Tower Water Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor

Cooling Water Scale and Corrosion Inhibitors are chemical compounds that inhibit scale formation in the heat exchangers and prevent corrosion or rusting of heat exchangers at severe water conditions. If it is not treated correctly, a cooling system can rapidly become choked with scale and corrosion products and become a breeding ground for all manner of problematic microbes. The cooling tower itself can become fouled with microbial slime, algal growths and if incorrectly treated can be the cause of legionnaires disease.

Without effective water treatment, a cooling water system can suffer from scale formation, corrosion and fouling and may become a breeding ground for harmful bacteria such as those which cause Legionnaires' Disease. This reduces efficiency, shortens plant life and makes your operation unreliable and unsafe.

Boiler water alkalinity or pH controller

Boiler water pH or alkalinity controllers are multipurpose Boiler Water Treatment Chemicals that increase or decrease the alkalinity and pH of boiler water for corrosion inhibition and also aids in removal of sludge or boiler deposits and prevention of scaling in boiler tubes.

Normally the Boiler feed water pH should be at 9.5-10 for avoiding boiler tubes corrosion or rusting due to acidic attack.

The antiscalant property of the product makes it profitable for users for its round the year savings of power and labor, and increase in production. Use of antiscalants...
