The first thing that comes into the mind of many salespeople when they hear of “telemarketing” is “cold calling.” However, telemarketing is beyond that. The dread that comes with the fear of being turned down is not present in telemarketing. Unlike high-pressured cold calling where the buyer feels that he is selling, in telemarketing it is all about providing “privileged information” maintaining a positive attitude. The key to succeeding in telemarketing is to overcome the fear of rejection that many salespeople have developed after years of cold calling. Here are a few tips on how to do it: 1.
