Have you ever wondered how much work would be involved in marketing your talent to the world via the internet? The truth is that it is becoming increasing difficult for talent to differentiate themselves from the millions of other individuals also trying to get noticed by means of the web.

For an example, let's say that there's an unsigned band somewhere in the middle of Ohio who wants to post some videos to the internet to hopefully get noticed by some record labels. What options do they have? Sure, there are plenty of media sharing sites (YouTube, Facebook and Bebo to name a few) but posting to these sites is almost the equivalent of throwing a needle into a haystack. The problem is that most online communities are simply too big for talent to compete with all of the other media, and they are shut out. This is why it is important for talent to find smaller, more focused, online communities to post their media and help get noticed by the right people.
