Starcraft 2 Strategy Guide: Marine Rush

Here we are with a so called cheesing strategy for the Terran race of Starcraft 2. This particular strategy will focus on using a proxy (which stands for any building created outside your base).
The idea in this case is to do this with Barracks and Reactor to rush out Marines early on.

The most important thing to think about when doing this is to be aware of where you place your buildings so that they don’t get spotted by the enemy. If you happen to get spotted anyway, your first goal should be not to lose your builder SCV.

If your opponent goes for an early Roach, Stalker, or Reaper rush, you could very well be in danger of losing the battle. With this in mind, try to scout the area with your builder SCV to find out if he’s got any defensive units or not. If he doesn’t, you should definitely go for a push.
