Pet Rescue Volunteers & Animal Shelter Workers Honored At Gainesville's Annual Animal Advocate Event

Individuals and organizations that help protect displaced animals and place those needing a new home will be honored this Friday, October 29, 2010 in the First Annual Animal Advocate Recognition Event. According to the event organizer, Heidi Tomlin, “This is our way to recognize the organizations and individuals that rescue lost animals and help those animals find new homes. We realized there are many events to help these organizations raise money, but none to specifically recognize the very special individuals and volunteers that contribute to and staff these organizations.
