Responsible Service of Alcohol: An Educational Approach to Alcohol Intoxication

Alcohol intoxication is a physiological state occurring when a person has a high level of ethanol (the intoxicating agent in fermented and distilled liquors) in their bloodstream, or when ethanol otherwise causes the physiological effect known as drunkenness.
Common symptoms of alcohol intoxication are impaired balance, flushed face, erratic behavior, vague speech, reddened eyes and poor body coordination.
The worse case of alcohol intoxication is when it can lead to a cause of death. People will usually hear over the news that the common causes of vehicular accidents are drivers under the influence of alcohol (DUI).
