Reverse Engineering - An Important Capability in State-of-the-Art Manufacturing

by Plouse Precision Manufacturing on Nov 19, 2010

Reverse engineering is defined as "the process of studying or analyzing the principles of a device, object or system to further document its structure, function and operation." The process of reverse engineering involves analyzing a part down to the smallest detail in state-of-the-art manufacturing. This is necessary in order to make a solid model and/or 2-D drawing to aid in re-manufacturing.

Precision manufacturers work to establish the parameters and features of a part through the use of a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) and wide array of manual inspection equipment. Once this is complete, the information is transferred to a CAD engineer who recreates the recorded geometry into an electronic file format via SolidWorks 2009. The measurements take form as an electronic solid model mimicking all aspects of the original part. This model can be easily converted to a 2-D drawing, then fully dimensioned and toleranced for use on the manufacturing floor.

software engineering plan and realization

by metistech

Software engineering is a logical and closely controlled move toward to developing software. It applies together computer science and engineering principles and practices to the formation, process, and preservation of software systems. And it is a move toward to developing software to attempts to luxury it as an official procedure added like customary engineering than the skill that a lot of programmers consider it is.
One distinctive characteristic of Software Engineering is the paper follow that it produces. Designs contain to be signed inedible by Managers and Technical Authorities...
