Powerlifting Belts Enhances Performance

Earlier the practice of wearing powerlifting belts was limited to Olympic powerlifting and weightlifting. However, these days the recreational lifters too wear them. Many believe this powerlifting equipment helps in enhancing their performance, more than providing protection. It provides extra support for lifting heavy weights. They are designed for increasing intra-abdominal pressure to stabilize the entire midsection of a lifter. And this is where the importance of the design of your belt lies. In general, the gym belts come with wider back and skinny up front. However, such powerlifting belts can hardly cover enough abdominal surface area for providing the support that a lifter needs while performing.
