Perth Jobs – Australia’s Hidden Secret

As the largest city in Western Australia, Perth is considered as the seat of political and economic power. It houses the Parliament and Governor of Western Australia. It is also the fourth largest city in Australia and is tied in 5th place in The Economist’s 2009 List for the World’s Most Livable Cities. As a metropolis, it is geographically unique as it is the most isolated metropolitan area in the world, considered to be closer to Jakarta and East Timor than the other major cities in Australia such as Sydney or Melbourne. Since Western Australia is known for its rich mineral deposits, one would think that Mining jobs would be the predominant listing of available Perth jobs. Apparently, due to its isolated location, Perth has never evolved into a manufacturing city, favoring to channel its economy towards the service industry and agriculture with work available like accounting jobs, finance jobs, retail jobs and trade jobs.
