Even Patients With Gastric Bypass Weight Loss Tips Plateaus Hit

At some point during the rapid weight loss after gastric bypass surgery, many patients may find their weight loss has stalled. Talk about discouraging. The daily ritual of weight and holding a pound has gone it has become depressing torture because the scale just will not move-the dreaded plateau has arrived.

One of the reasons for the plateau is physiological. The body reacts to the restrictive caloric intake sends a signal to start burning less fuel stored. In other words, the metabolic rate (the rate at which the body burns fuel) is reduced as the body tries to conserve fuel in the reaction to a state of famine. His body is yet living at it for the fat lover.
