4 ways to keep your dogs teeth clean and save on huge vet bills.

1. Dog food
Once of the main factors in keeping your dog’s teeth clean and healthy is the food they eat. There are many dog foods on the market which include wet food and dry food. If you feed your dog wet dog food , ie tinned dog food, there is nothing for the dog to chew and so the wet food doesn’t help to clean the dog’s teeth. If you feed dry dog food then the kibble (that's the technical term for the individual biscuits) has to be chewed and therefore helps to keep the teeth and gums clean.
2. Dog treats
As with the dog food giving your dog treats can also build up plaque on the dogs teeth. For example of you fed your dog cheese as a treat that could contribute towards the build up of plaque. If feed dry dog food you can use the kibble as a treat and therefore help with the cleaning.
