Reward good behavior
Training a puppy to behave the way you want can be pretty difficult. Much like a real child, puppies rarely behave the way you want them to without proper instruction. Sure they aim to please, but they need your guidance as to how exactly they can make you happy.
And again, just as with a child, it’s a good idea to use positive reinforcement whenever possible with your pup. They need to understand that consequences don’t just come with negative behaviors. Behaving properly can yield desirable consequences—such as healthy dog treats . Treat your dog as often as you can when you see good behaviors so he will make the connection.
