Coin Collecting's New Trend: Presidential Gold Dollars

Coin collecting can be a relaxing and yet worthwhile and educational hobby. In recent years, with the creation of the State Quarter program, the Native American $1 coins and the newest addition, the Presidential $1 coins, history can be learned through the U.S. Mint’s commemorations.

This new coin series could be a smart way to reach today’s youth, who are more focused on finances and less on historic details. On the other hand, coin collecting will always remain a hobby for the more education-oriented, less outdoor enthusiastic individuals. Either way, the hobby has a new outlet that could interest anyone.

The U.S. Mint explains four Presidential $1 coins are being issued each year, in the order the Presidents held office.
