With job loss on the rise most Americans know how important it is to have health insurance. If we are lucky enough to have a great job but misfortune to have lost it COBRA is there to help us. This mandatory system gives us the opportunity of keeping our health insurance and for some people they may not have many options but for others a blessing. COBRA can be such a life saver. It is absolutely necessary to read your policy thoroughly, you may discover that some COBRA plans have strict rules and guidelines they must follow and that may not pertain to you and your families needs. Understand all your rights, terms and fees are before proceeding with COBRA. The United States of America has introduced cobra laws to protect the interest of the workers in the country. The word cobra stands for Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act.
