Health Coaching: Relying on Ketones for Fuel

In America, we spend 17% of our GDP on healthcare. That is roughly twice what other nations spend. So, if we're spending $1.2 Trillion a year, why are so many Americans expiring from pandemics such as cancer, heart disease and stroke? I believe that the key causative factors include our stress-induced way of life, diet, and our body’s inability to purify itself of damaging toxins. More unambiguously, most diseases in our culture are directly related to our co-dependency on sugar for sustenance.When you remove sugar and starch from the diet, the brain begins to shift its source for fuel from glucose to ketones. Ketones are the energy units found in fat. By changing your co-dependency from sugar to ketones found in fat, you will be returning to the way your body was intended to assimilate foods.
