When focusing on programs functionalities, it is important to soon initialize the rc car accumulator (DIG1 or units, or DIG2 tens or hundreds and dig4 dig3 or thousands) and put in under all port B lines with this getting no display is illuminated. Then the program is in an infinite loop which checks if there is activity on the input lines (pins 2 and 3) and displays the current contents of the bill (by a call to the subroutine display).
If you notice no activity in any of the two input lines only cycle is responsible for making the displays look rc car batteries. A low pulse on pin 3 to a high on pin 2 will cause the program to jump to subroutine "Increase" which increases the battery in one unit (and the carry handle if necessary).
